Thank you for choosing Pharmazen. This Privacy Policy applies to all versions of the Pharmazen application suite (including but not limited to editions for 100L through 600L pharmacy students). Your privacy is incredibly important to us. This Privacy Policy outlines how your information is handled when you use any of our mobile applications.

1. Data We Collect and How We Store It

We built the Pharmazen ecosystem with a privacy-first, offline-first approach. Most of the data generated by your use of the apps stays entirely on your device.

• Profile & Progress Data: Your chosen username, registration number, test scores, exam history, study streak, timetable entries, and in-app CGPA calculations are stored locally on your device using local storage. We do not store this data on our servers.
• Microphone & Audio Data: To use the "Interactive Learning" AI Tutor feature, the app requires microphone access. Your speech is converted to text locally on your device or via standard system speech recognition. We do not record or store your voice audio files on our servers.
• Document & Image Uploads: When you upload lecture notes (PDF, DOCX, TXT) or photos to the AI Tutor, the text is extracted locally on your device.
• AI Tutor Interactions: The text queries you ask the AI Tutor, and the extracted text from the lecture notes you choose to upload to the chat, are securely transmitted to our backend API solely to generate the AI's response. This data is processed temporarily and is not used to identify you personally.

2. In-App Purchases and Financial Data

If you choose to upgrade to a Pharmazen Premium tier, the transaction is processed securely through Google Play Billing. We do not collect, process, or have access to your credit card information, billing address, or financial details. Google Play simply notifies the app whether your purchase was successful so we can unlock your premium features.

3. Permissions Required

The apps in the Pharmazen suite may request the following permissions to function correctly:

• Microphone: Required exclusively for voice-to-text interactions with the Interactive Learning AI Tutor.
• Notifications: Required to send you study reminders, study clock alerts, and alarm clock alerts. These are scheduled locally on your device.

4. Third-Party Services

The app utilizes the following third-party services that may have their own privacy policies:

• Google Play Services: Used for app distribution and handling in-app purchases.
• Pharmazen AI API: Our secure backend service used exclusively to generate text and audio responses for the Interactive Learning feature.

5. Data Deletion and Your Rights

Because your personal study data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can delete all your data at any time by:

• Navigating to the Settings screen within the app.
• Tapping the "Clear All Data" button.
• Uninstalling the app will also immediately delete all associated local data.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our features, the addition of new academic level apps (e.g., Pharmazen 4, 5, 6), or regulatory requirements. We advise you to review this page periodically for any changes. Changes are effective immediately after they are posted on this page.
